BSST develops, produces and distributes ballistic protection solutions for Government Agencies, Military and Industry, concentrating on the European market. The German company was founded as a privately owned company in 1994 and remains so to this day. The BSST headquarters are located in Nellingen/Alb, in the state of Baden-Württemberg, the leading region in Europe for innovation. With their unique solution for the personalisation of body armor, BSST produces individually adjusted soft ballistic protection, from customer specific prototypes through to large scale serial production. The modular protection concept is complemented by their innovative hard ballistic solutions for protection against higher level threats. These are also developed and manufactured in house. The latest development is an EOD solution including advanced frag protection as well as a complete bomb suit with state-of-the-art communication system, appropriate equipment and add-ons. The product portfolio is rounded off with functional wear, matched to the ballistic solutions, offering sweat management, flame retardancy, cut resistance and IED/frag protection.
